70's disco hit???
i'm afraid i don't have much to go on, but today i heard a song that everybody knows when they hear it, but do they know what it's called? who performs it? or even what the lyrics are???
it's got to be from the disco era, upbeat, very synth and the beginning has an electronic warped voice saying something that's inaudible to me. the only half-decent lead i have to go on is the chorus:
(male voice(s)) it's all right. all right. a-a-all right.
da da da... da da da da...
it's all right. all right. a-a-all right.
can anyone even venture a guess? it's driving me CRAZY!

70's disco hit???
I know this isn't a disco song from the 70's but your description of the chorus brought this song to mind. U2's "Mysterious Ways". Here are the lyrics.

Johnny take a walk
With your sister the moon
Let her pale light in
To fill up your room
You've been living underground
Eating from a can
You've been running away
From what you don't understand...
Love

She's slippy
You?re sliding down
Will she be there
When you hit the ground

It's all right, it's all right, it's all right
She moves in mysterious ways
It's all right, it's all right, it's all right
She moves in mysterious ways
O-o-oh

Johnny take a dive
With your sister in the rain
Let her talk about the things
You can't explain
To touch is to heal
To hurt is to steal
If you want to kiss the sky
Better learn how to kneel - On your knees boy

She's the wave
She turns the tide
She sees the man, inside the child
Yeah

It's all right, it's all right, it's all right
She moves in mysterious ways
It's all right, it's all right, it's all right
She moves in mysterious ways
Love
It's all right, it's all right, it's all right
Lift my days, light up my nights
Love

One day you will look... back
And you'll see... where
You were held... how
By this love... while
You could stand there
You could move on this moment
Follow this feeling

It's all right, it's all right, it's all right
She moves in mysterious ways
It's all right, it's all right, it's all right
She moves in mysterious ways
O-o-oh

Oh love
Oh love, lover
Move you
Spirit move
Baby love me
Move
Baby love me
Move you
Baby love me
Move with it
She moves with it

Lift my days, light up my nights

70's disco hit???
Hi jerbates - Maybe this was answered on another thread, but I suspect it's 'Let's Groove' by Earth Wind and Fire, a #3 hit in 1981.

Intro:
We can boogie down, down, c'mon down
To boogie down, down, c'mon down
To boogie down, down, c'mon down
To boogie down, down, ...
(Repeats underneath first verse)

Let's groove tonight
Share the spice of life
By slice it right
We're gonna groove tonight

Let this groove, get you to move,
It's alright, alright, alright
Let this groove, set in your shoes,
So stand up, alright, alright

Gonna tell ya what you can do,
With my love, alright
Let you know girl you're looking good
You're outta sight, alright

Just move yourself and glide like a 747
And lose yourself in the sky among the clouds in the heaven cause

Let this groove, light up your fuse, its alright, alright, alright, oh oh
Let this groove, set in your shoes so stand up alright, alright

Let me tell ya what you can do
With my love, alright
Gotta let you know girl you're looking good
You're outta sight, alright

Just tell the DJ
To play your favorite tune
Then you know it's okay
What you found is happening now, oh

Let this groove, light up your fuse, its alright, alright, alright
Let this groove, set in your shoes, so stand up, stand up, alright
Let this groove, get you to move, its alright, alright, alright, yeah
Let this groove set in your shoes, so stand up, alright, alright

You will find peace of mind on the floor
Take a little time, come and see, you and me
Give a little sign, I'll be there after a while
If you want my love

We can boogie on down, down
Boogie on down, down
We boogie on down, down
We boogie on down, on down (boogie!)

Let's groove tonight
Share the spice of life
Baby slice it right
We're gonna groove tonight

Let this groove, [hey hey!] light up your fuse, its alright, alright, alright, oh oh
Let this groove set in your shoes, so stand up, alright, alright
[We're gunna groove tonight]
Let this groove, get you to move, its alright, alright, alright, oh oh
[Share the spice of life]
[Baby slice it right]
Let this groove set in your shoes, so stand up, alright, alright
[Just gunna groove tonight]

You just move yourself, move yourself
You just move yourself, mmmmmm

Groove tonight, huh
Share the spice of life
Baby slice it right
We gunna groove tonight, oh yeah

You just move yourself, mmmmmm
You just move yourself
Just move, yeah

Hey, alright

Let's groove, let's groove, let's groove, let's groove, let's groove tonight
Let's groove, let's groove, let's groove tonight, let's groove tonight...

I am looking for the same song i guess...
To give some more hints:

It seems to be a light melody.
I think that I have heard this song in one of the Bud Spencer/Terence Hill movies before.

The only more hints I can give with lyrics... :S
... Think that it`s all right dam da da da ... cause its my life bam da da da

It would be great if someone knows this song!!!

70's disco hit???
I don't know, but I'm going to take a stab at this and suggest that maybe you are looking for the song, "Whatever Gets You Through The Night" (..."It's alright, alright..."). iTunes has an Elton John/John Lennon collaboration version of this song (but that is not the original hit I remember from the 70s). Nevertheless, this is a melodic, light, almost disco-sounding tune. Maybe it's your ticket.

70's disco hit???
I think the song you are looking for is "Let's groove" by Earth Wind & Fire. I was looking for that song too.
The vocoder-voice says "We can boogie down, down, come on" in the beginning of the song...

Did you ever get the name of that song? I heard it too and don't know who sings it or anything! Your post was all the way back in 2006, maybe you don't remember, but in case you don't your initial message is below.
