1960s (possibility 70s) song that the original recording of it you could not hear the lyrics...?
This song was released in the 1960s (possibility 70s), when you listen to it, you can hardly hear the words because the instruments are overpowering the lyrics. I believe it was a male group that sung it. The group, I believe, was not a one hit wonder. In recent airings of this song on oldies radio stations, they have made it so you can hear the lyrics. Your help will be appreciated. Thanks!

More Details...

The problem is, that I really never listened to the lyrics when it was on the radio. So, right off hand, I can't think of ANY of the lyrics because I was listening to the instruments, and I can't think of the instruments that were used right off hand either. I'm really stuck right now...

Assuming that you are not trying to pull our leg by asking us about a song that you know none of the lyrics or the types of instruments being used, let me try with a couple of songs where the lyrics are somewhat slurred in the singing.

1. Louie Louie - The Kingsmen. The classic of mumbled, misheard or unheard lyrics. Came out in 1963.

2. Walk Away Renee - The Left Banke. The accompaniment is a bit loud here, and the vocalist does not ennunciate very well. This is from 1966.
