name this song
It sounds a lot like Spooky from the Classic IV. It kind of has a Jose Feliciano sound.

The words in my head seem to be right after 5 notes from a guitar:"I'll follow the sun" or "She'll follow the sun".

Anyone have any idea?

Dan, Thanks for the info, but it is not a Beatles tune at all. I am familiar with "I'll Follow The Sun". This melody is real similar to "Spooky" by the Classic IV. It came out in the lat 60's early 70's.

The singer kinda has a Jose Feliciano sound to his voice. Some of the guitar chords in the song are similar to the chords in "Spooky".

The other musicians are definitely not responsible for this song.

do, re, me, fa, so, la, ti, do.

The five notes on the guitar are. do, me, so, me, fa. ("she'll follow the sun") These words may not be in the song..just in my head..by the melody is right.

Thanks again Dan!

That's not it! I'm familiar with both of these tunes as well.

Think if the do, me, so, me, fa. and that it sounds like "Spooky".

I think I've got it screwed up because I mentioned the words.."She'll follow the sun". Thos may not be the words at all. Bobby Hebbs version came out in mid 60ish.

The song I'm thinking of came out late 60's or early 70's.

Soul Train ......................................................................................................
You know that "Spooky" sound was First heard in the song by The Classics IV in the tune, "Soul Train". It's a possibility this is what you remember, and it's on their Greatest Hits albums.

How much this sounds like Jose Feliciano, I'm uncertain.

BTW, this song has nothing to do with the TV dance show.
