Searching for a song by The Montereys
I have serached the web, rung radio stations but still can't find a song. I believe it is called ' Your the girl for me' and recorded by a group called The Montereys around 1958.

Can anyone please help me locate it.

That's a really rare 45 record! It's not for sale anywhere! You are correct about the title, the artist and the year. Here's some more information...

Artist: The Montereys

Song: You're The Girl For Me

Year: 1958

Label: Rose 109

B side song: Ape Shape

My advice is to check weekly the following places...

www.gemm.com

www.musicstack.com

www.ebay.com

I'll bet Joel Whitburn has the record. I have heard that he has either the largest record collection in the world or the second largest.

If this 45 record becomes available, I wouldn't be surprised if the asking price is several hundred dollars.

Thanks Dan

I tried your suggestions, but so far no luck. I will do as you suggested and try each week.
The hardest part is not knowing yet if I even have the right song. Only know one line from the chorus and the tune. Rang a couple of radio stations and hummed it to them, thats how I have come this far.
I wont know if I am on the right track until I can hear it again, or track down the lyrics.

Thanks again for your help all the same.
